During this unique learning time, Learning Links is offering PODS, small group, and individual tutoring instruction. Our priority is to work with families to reduce stress and to help ensure that every student is able to feel independent and to succeed during this time of transition.
Each student’s learning style is analyzed and that information is used to develop a curriculum to remediate his or her weaknesses in a positive learning environment. Students who learn differently often struggle with executive functioning and social-emotional skills. Learning Links encourages students to take ownership and responsibility for their learning and learning needs. Students are provided with the strategies to become advocates for their own learning needs. They learn skills that address their weaknesses by capitalizing on their strengths.
Learning Links provides personal and confidential services for each family going through the special education process. These services may include explaining the administrative and legal processes to parents, observing and evaluating the student, drafting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), attending IEP meetings, and testifying in court.
Learning Links collaborates with teachers, staff and families to give students who learn differently the same opportunities and access to the curriculum as their peers. By observing students in their classrooms, consulting with teachers, analyzing evaluations, and providing written recommendations, Learning Links can help. Students should feel successful, teachers should feel empowered, and parents should feel heard.
